Suspect of Gamos Massacre, Lover Of The Victim?

Cavite Police finally released the identity of the suspect of the killing of OFW’s wife and child in General Trias, Cavite.

According to the authorities, the suspect of the brutal killing of Ruby Gamos and her 7-year old child is Roel Galvan Cabatingan, the childhood friend and alleged lover of Ruby.

According to the neighbors’ testimony, Cabatingan was constantly visiting Gamos’ residence.

It was on December 11, when the lifeless body of Ruby and her child were seen inside their home at General Trias, Cavite.

Based on the investigation, a sperm was also found in the bed sheet of the victim, where the incident happened.

“Prior to the incident magkasama itong dalawa,” says Superintendent William Segun, chief of Cavite police.

“May nakitang semen sa bed-sheet ng bahay ni Ruby na nagpapatunay na hindi lang si Ruby ang tao doon,” says Segun. “Walang indication na pinilit si Ruby.”

Segun also added that Ruby and the suspect even rented a house in Alapan, Imus.

They rented the house from January until June. After that, the two stayed in Gamos’ residence.

Police officers are eyeing jealousy as the motive of the crime.

It is also possible that the crime was done by hand since the knife in victim’s house were not used.

Robbery is also not the real motive of the suspect because aside from the television and cell phones, the money and pieces of jewelry were left behind.

Though the suspect took the victim’s car, it was later left in front of a cemetery in Imus.

Marlon Gamos, the husband of Ruby, accepted the news calmly.

He filed a murder case against the suspect.
