Us Weekly magazine officially announced it’s list of 15 “Most Influential Celebrities on Social Media” and included on the list is South Korean pop group BTS.

Interestingly enough, BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is the only Asian group featured on the list among many heavyweights in the entertainment industry in the United States.

The list includes: Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Chrissy Teigen, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner (counted as one), Taylor Swift, Ellen DeGeneres, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Donald Trump, and Barack Obama.

This is not the only achievement that BTS received this year; this is only one of the many records they broke in 2017.

In May 2017, BTS was nominated and won the Billboard Music award for Top Social Artist. The group beat other high ranking celebrities in the industry, including Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendes.

The K-pop boy band then received the Best in Music award at the 9th Annual Shorty Awards in April 2017, according to Us Weekly.

In August 2017, BTS proved once again that they are one of the best recording artists in the world after winning the Choice International Artist award at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, and Nickelodeon Mexico’s Favorite International Artist or Group awards, overtaking Bieber one more time.
