A company called HPI Check, one of the oldest vehicle history checking companies, recently did a study where they found out that 72 percent of people thought their friends and family looked different in online photos than in real life. They also discovered that 50 percent of people had never uploaded a completely unaltered photo to the internet.

Selfies are one thing, but what happens when you’re buying online? You should always be cautious about online purchases, since brands often do the same thing we do to our faces to their products. Here’s why you should be extra careful when making a big purchase on the world wide web.
