National Geographic Names a Zamboanga Beach as One of the Best Beaches in the World!

It is the only ‘pink-sand’ beach in the Philippines!

Though the cold days aren’t over, many people are already getting ready for summer. With warmer days fast approaching, where best to go but to the beach, right? But who wants a simple beach break? The world has a lot to offer—and the Philippines is one of the most beautiful places to be in!

The Philippines is known worldwide to have the most hospitable people, but the country has a lot more to offer. They have some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful nature. National Geographic makes it official as it announces the top 21 most beautiful beaches in the world—including a beach in Zamboanga, Philippines.

National Geographic describes the Pink Beach in the Great Santa Cruz Island in Zamboanga: ‘Hardly lacking in gorgeous beaches, the Philippines claims a pink-sand variety, too. The blush color comes from billions of pieces of crushed red organ-pipe coral, seen in every handful of sand. The number of visitors to the island is regulated, and advance arrangements should be made through the tourist office in Zamboanga.’
