H.P. Lovecraft’s works of fiction have always dealt with unspeakable horrors and unreliable narrators, and the upcoming video game based on his most iconic story seems to bring these themes to life.
Cyanide Studios, the team behind Blood Bowl and Styx: Master of Shadows, is bringing Call of Cthulhu to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2017. In the game’s latest trailer, players can get a bloody look at the mystery they will investigate as Detective Edward Price. See it for yourself below.
Fans of the horror author’s works will find plenty to love in this footage, including a gloomy seaside town and mutilated marine life. Much of the game will be set in an abandoned mansion, as Price tries to discover what happened to the family inhabiting its halls.
