A day after Donald Trump landed country star Toby Keith, 1990s rock band 3 Doors Down, and gospel singer Jennifer Holliday to play his inauguration, his problems finding musicians to perform for him have continued.

That’s because Jennifer Holliday has officially cancelled.

Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony-award winner who starred in the original Broadway production of Dreamgirls, said Saturday in an open letter obtained by the Wrap that she was canceling her performance and that she had been “uneducated on the issues that affect every American at this crucial time in history and for causing such dismay and heartbreak to my fans.” She also apologized to the LBGT community, which had expressed outrage that Holliday had agreed to perform at Trump’s festivities.

Holliday said in the letter that she stands with the LGBT community and that she didn’t realize performing next week would be seen as supporting Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence, who’s been a staunch opponent of LGBT rights.

“Please know that I HEAR YOU and I feel your pain,” she wrote. “The LGBT Community was mostly responsible for birthing my career and I am deeply indebted to you … You have loved me faithfully and unconditionally and for so many years you provided me with work even though my star had long since faded.”
