Amid the new reports this week that President-elect Donald Trump will keep his job as executive producer on the Celebrity Apprentice, Trump took to Twitter on Saturday morning to dispute the reporting on him. Except this time his words contradict those of his senior adviser Kellyanne Conway.

Funny about that last tweet. Conway was telling a different story during a CNN interview on Friday in which she said, “If this is one of the approved activities, then perhaps he will consider staying on” with the Celebrity Apprentice in his “spare time.” Sounds less like fake news and more like real words from a major figure in his transition team.Though Conway doesn’t say with 100 percent certainty that Trump will be back in business with NBC, she’s also certainly not saying he won’t.

Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich said the decision to stick with the Celebrity Apprentice was a strange one.

“I think it’s weird. It’s weird. I don’t think it’s relevant,” he told Fox News on Friday, via the Huffington Post. “He is going to be the executive producer of the American government and a huge TV show called ‘Leading the World.’”

We know, of course, Trump tends to fire back at critics on Twitter (it’s been months since he held a formal news conference). This case, obviously, was no different. But as of this writing, Trump has had nothing to say on Twitter about Friday night’s news reports that Russia hacked Democratic Party officials to help Trump win the presidency
